Srinivasa Kalyanam happened successfully at MARG Swarnabhoomi at Seekinakuppam/Seekinapuram ECR on Saturday. More than 30,000 people gathered to get the blessings of Lord Venkateswara during his marriage.
The Utsavars of the lords were brought from Tirumal to perform this Srinivasa Kalyanam at MARG Swarnabhoomi in Seekinankuppam. The Archakas came from Tirumala to perform the rituals of Srinivasa Kalyanam.
It was a great opportunity for the public to participate in this function free of cost and to seek the blessings of the lord and the goddesses.
A similar event was held in Chennai in 2008 at the Island Grounds and in 2006 at Koyambedu. This was if not more, was as successful as that. With all the facilities in place. There were hundreds of buses that were arranged to bring in people from various parts of the city. Twenty four archakas were performing the rituals of this holy event.
The gods had a stage with a big crown at the centre and two golden wheels at the sides and a Garuda bird with big wings. As the gods Lord Venkateswara, Godess Sridevi, bhoomidevi and alamaelumangaiyaar appeared to the eyes of the onlookers, they all shout “Govinda Govinda” and there was a strong divine vibe all over the 1000 acre MARG Swarnabhoomi.
To make sure that no mishap happened, there were 1,200+ police personnel securing the place. Devotees attending the event were given prasadam in the form of food, turmeric, kumkum, akshadai, laddus and water.

Marg thanks TTD for organizing the event and thanks everyone who visited Swarnabhoomi and attended the same
MARG Swarnabhoomi- The 1000 campus which would offer a new paradigm for living, working and learning, is eagerly looking forward to the coming Saturday- 24th of July. Even with the construction of our residential buildings MARG Utsav and MARG Navratna going at full pace, we are all gearing up for the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam’s Srinivasa Kalyanam that is going to happen at our MARG Swarnabhoomi premises.
When we visited the campus last friday, we could see the arrangements being made for the mega event. Take a look at the majestic stage that is under construction.
MARG Swarnabhoomi is expecting a whopping 2 lakh people crowd for the holy event. But that is not even a little problem as all of MARG’s Properties and constructions are ultra spacious. The event is free for all. All are welcome to attend the holy event and get the blessings of the god of seven hills.
We have also arranged special MTC buses for transport from popular bus stops around the city. We’re looking forward to see you at the majestic MARG Swarnabhoomi campus this weekend. For more information please refer the image below or feel free to contact us.
