Cerebrate 2010 is all set to begin at Marg Tapovan in about 2 days from now. Cerebrate is an invitee only event where some of the best achievers gather and brainstorm.

“The first inspiration for Cerebrate came from Tim O’Reilly’s FooCamp. Every year he and his core team would selectively hand pick 300 achievers and thinkers from the field of technology and invite them for three days of camping and brainstorming. You just have to look at the photos of the event to realize how cool the event is. I loved the fact that people camp out at the Orchards and discussions happen in makeshift tents.

I also knew that I would never get invited to a FooCamp, no matter how much I really want to. Instead of brooding, I decided that the best alternative was to organize a similar event. Coincidentally, that was also the time when FooCamp spurned the idea of BarCamps and me and my friends went on to host BarCampChennai and a series of very successful niche Unconferences.”.. read the complete post

The birth of cerebrate is as interesting to know as the event itself.

How many of us really take some pain to initiate a get together with best of people whom we know from different walks of life to spend some quality time together in a place which is totally out of the city. Here comes an unconference organized by Kiruba Shankar and its called Cerebrate,  it’s an event for achievers and best thinkers to get together for brainstorming and bonding. Cerebrate is a hybrid between an invite-only event, an unconference self-organized, unstructured, yet intellectual.  Cerebrate is a successful event which is happening for the third consecutive time this year and it’s a 4 day event happening from February 25^th to 28^th 2010.  Marg Management has graciously offered Marg Tapovan as the event venue which is off ECR Chennai . Cerebrate is all about enriching oneself with inspiring life lessons from one another and the beauty lies in its diversity and excellence of each achievers is from a unique field. All this is possible to happen only when the achievers are out of the ‘City Life’ and Cerebrate wanted to give the achievers a change, a change that will be remembered for the years to come and that is when the Cerebrate team decided to go for Marg Tapovan as the event venue.

Marg Tapovan, a signature project from MARG, it’s a silent garden with a villa style extravaganza complete with its own private swimming pool, Jacuzzi and a meditation center. The site is located at Pavunjur, about 80 kms from Tidel Park, Chennai, and 38 kms from Mahabalipuram. Tapovan is focused to deliver a concept of “resort of your own”. The participants will also witness the bright patches of sunlight flicker in the deep shade of the leafy boughs of mango, guava, chiku and mature coconut trees. I am sure this year Cerebrate will take a new shape and the participants will enjoy the unconference to the best of it.
