Here’s a quick introduction of the artists performing at “Carnatic Kutcheri” organized by Bharathi Kala Manram.
Kum. Lavanya Sundararaman
The artist is the 4th generation musician in the DKP Parampara. She is the great granddaughter of Gana Saraswathi D K Pattammal and Mridanga Chakravarthi Palghat Sri T S Mani Iyer. She had the fortune of learning from her legendary great grandmother. She is now under the able guidance and tutelage of her grandmother Smt Lalitha Sivakumar and her aunt Smt Nithyasree Mahadevan, needless to mention about her mother Smt Gayathri SundaraRaman. She has recorded for many TV channels in India including Doordarshan, Zee Tamil, Sankara TV, Mega TV, Raj TV, Kalaingnar TV, etc She also appeared as a special guest artist in the famous Super Singer Junior 2 conducted by Vijay TV.

Sri. Prashanth Gururaja
Prashanth Gururaja grew up in New Jersey, where he learned Carnatic violin under Mysore Sateesh, Ganesh Kumar, and Anantha Krishnan. He performs frequently in classical concerts with local and international artists around Northeast USA, Michigan, and Toronto. He also regularly performs in Carnatic and world music ensembles around Detroit/Ann Arbor. He has continued his Carnatic training under Jayshankar Balan in Detroit. Prashanth currently lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he graduated from the University of Michigan and works as an engineer at the US Environmental Protection Agency.
Sri. Mayuran Manogaran
The artist is a senior disciple of Toronto B.Gowrishankar and is a graduate of the mridangam school Laya Madhura. He has completed his arangetram and is playing in many concerts for both local and visiting artists. He has performed at the Cleveland Aradhana and in Manram concerts.
