“The Road to 1010101010 Global Campaign” ExNoRa International is a wide spread environmental movement founded in 1989, focusing on mobilizing and empowering communities to participate in preserving nature and preventing environmental degradation, thereby improving the quality of life of the common man.

Till the turn of the century, issues of environmental protection and management was much the preserve of specialized environmental groups, scientists and administrators, though very often the cause of its degradation was all humanity and its impact was on every one. It is thus time for each to respond actively and responsibility to the situation at hand.

1010101010 campaign signals the momentous start of our joint crusade against Global Warming and its host of menacing consequences such as Ice Melting, Flooding, Violent Cyclones, Tsunamis, Heat Waves, Heat waves, Drought, Death of Rivers, Forest fires, Desertification, Hunger due to reduction in land and sea food production; New breeds of diseases and Poverty; and the ensuing violence, crimes, all of which will take a heavy toll on human, animal, sea and plant life. We are setting out to mitigate these adverse effects by bringing together the two potent powers of people and inspired ideas.

The 1010101010 Lights Out is not merely for saving power for 10 minutes, it is essentially to rejoice in the success realized during the period, by cutting down your carbon foot print.

Usually, a festivity involves switching on all lights and even illuminating buildings with bright lights. But this is different. The celebrations on 10/10/10 will be by switching off lights and remaining in the dark for 10 minutes.
